COACHING DIRECTOR

Jesse Rosen is the Coaching Director for our CJ Brown Foundation Neighborhood and After School programs, managing and recruiting our largely Chicago-based coaching staff. A former NCAA Division I player and assistant coach, he has been the head coach of Malcolm X College (Chicago City Colleges) Men’s Soccer since 2014. Jesse has been with the CJ Brown Foundation since its founding and is an integral part of its Coaching Leadership.

Before his time with the CJBF and Malcolm X, Jesse oversaw several successful club teams and competed at the professional level. Notably, Jesse has coached eight players to earn All-Region honors at Malcolm X. In addition, a member of Rosen’s inaugural team in 2014, received the NJCAA’s Pinnacle Award after posting a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average and was Malcolm X’s valedictorian at the City Colleges of Chicago graduation in May 2015.

Before arriving at Malcolm X, Rosen was an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (2008 and 2009) and Marquette University (2006 and 2007). In addition to his collegiate experience, Rosen was the Director of Coaching for the Bavarian Soccer Club of Milwaukee (2006–10) and a senior staff coach with FC Milwaukee (1998-2006). Jesse's team has won eight state championships (WI), three state runner-up finishes, and three trips to the Midwest Regional semifinals.

15 of Rosen’s players earned spots on U.S. Youth Regional teams, and nine participated on youth or senior national teams, including the United States, Ireland, and the Bahamas.
