Celebrating Kate Roudebush, Our Outstanding Marketing - Social Media Intern!
The CJ Brown Foundation believes in providing young professionals meaningful opportunities to grow, contribute, and lead. This past season, we had the privilege of working with an exceptional Marketing - Social Media Intern, Kate Roudebush from Loyola University Chicago, whose impact on our digital presence and marketing content was outstanding.
From day one, Kate brought enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative to the role. Tasked with supporting our marketing and digital communications, Kate quickly became an essential part of our team, leading efforts to develop and execute a digital marketing strategy that focused on our social media.
From her first week in the role, Kate worked with our Founder, CJ Brown, to understand more about the CJBF Brand, his vision, and values. Working with Ryan C. French, our Project Manager, she aligned these to create brand guidelines and set goals for her 10 weeks at the Foundation. Quickly, content was collected, edited, and designed with Kate managing the Foundation’s social media content collection, creation, and schedule. Thanks to her positive approach and consistent follow-through, we saw significant follower count and engagement growth across multiple platforms. We now even have a Facebook page!
Whether designing flyers, collecting and editing photos and videos, or writing social media captions and articles, Kate consistently delivered work that exceeded expectations. Her ability to tell stories through digital content helped us amplify our message, reach more supporters, and spotlight the voices of our staff and participants.
One of the many things that set Kate apart was their willingness to go above and beyond. She completed every task on time, often anticipating what needed to be done and taking the initiative to make it happen. Her interviews with staff and accompanying written pieces brought warmth and authenticity to our communications, deepening the connection between our community and our mission.
Beyond her professional skills, Kate embodied the spirit of the CJ Brown Foundation. She was a dependable, positive teammate who helped create a welcoming environment, fostering the intended sense of belonging the Foundation intends to form. Her work furthered the staff’s understanding of collaboration, care, and teamwork.
We are proud to have been a part of Kate’s journey and deeply grateful for her impact on the Foundation's work. We can’t wait to see where her talents take her next, and we’re confident she’ll continue to inspire and lead wherever she goes.
Thank you, Kate, for your remarkable contributions!
